Going to Disney is the best!! But, I'm here to say that going to Disney is the best when you get extra Magic! What am I saying? I'm saying that you can get into Disney an hour early, and in some cases stay late FOR FREE.
HOW?
The names can get tricky....so let me help.
Magic Morning: (not available for FREE at Disney World)
This offer is available to anyone who purchases a 3+ day Disneyland park pass.
-When: Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday.
-Where: Disneyland Park Exclusive (NO California Adventure)
-How: During your 3+ days at Disneyland parks you get in 1 hour early, ONE TIME during your trip.
-Details:Your Magic Morning gives you access to Fantasyland, and Tomorrowland. The rest of the park is roped off until official opening. To make the most of your Magic Morning, arrive at least 1 hour before the Magic Morning is to begin.
Extra Magic Hours: (Availabe at both Disneyland and Disney World)
Disneyland
This offer is available to Disneyland Resort Hotel guests ONLY: (Grand California, Disneyland Hotel, and Paradise Pier)
-When: Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday to Disneyland. Monday, Wednesday, Friday, and Sunday to California Adventure
-How: During the duration of your stay you get in 1 hour early to either Disneyland, or California Adventure. This means you can get in early to
at least one of the parks every single day.
-Details: Your Extra Magic Hours are a perk of staying on property. Still plan to arrive an hour before the park opens. At Disneyland you can access Fantasyland, and Tomorrowland. At California Adventure you will have access to all major attractions. This includes Radiator Springs Racers!!!
Disney World
This offer is available to all guests staying at any of the 15+ hotels located on property, as well as the Swan & Dolphin, Shades of Green, any Disney Springs resort area hotel, 4 Seasons, Bonnet Creek, and Waldorf Astoria. (So, pretty much anyone staying at a nearby resort)
-When: Days vary depending on park events. Check the " Park Hours
" for days. Right now (Sept 2019) Magic Kingdom has Extra Magic hours EVERY DAY!!!
-How: During the duration of your stay you can attend as many Magic Hours that are available. Some parks host their Magic Hour(s) at th end of the night. For example, Magic Kingdom currently offers their Magic Hours from 10 pm-12 am on specific days. This is why it is imperartive to check the park hours calendar for your stay.
-Details: Yes, it's a perk of staying on property or in any of the listed hotels, which means there are a lot of people trying to get into the parks on these days, but it is still great to get in that hour early and enjoy some of the key attractions. Not all rides are open, but most areas are walkable during this time.
Hopefully these defintions help. In conclusion...(Free) Magic Mornings only take place at Disneyland are available to anyone who purchases a 3+ day pass. Extra Magic Hour takes place at both Resorts, but is more "exclusive" at Disneyland since there are fewer hotels included. My friend who is currently at Disneyland had the "best of both". She had a 3+ day pass, and was staying at a Disneyland Resort hotel. However, the Disneyland days would be busier because they occur on the same days as Magic Morning. Extra Magic Hour at California Adventure is the best in MY opinion. You get ALL of California Adventures rides, and only have to share them with 3 hotels worth of guests.
