Disneyland's Magic Key
Disneyland's New Annual Pass Program, and which one to get?

The Imagine Key is the cheapest Magic Key option. This pass is only available to Southern California residents. You can also only have 2 park days reserved at a time. This means, if you plan a 3 day trip you will need to wait until day 1 is complete before making another reservation, and then you can only hope the day is not at capacity. The days you can visit is also limited to non blockout dates. It's a very restricted calendar, as you can see below.
Another option exclusive to California residents is the ability to make payments on any Magic Key Pass. "Monthly payments option valid only for California Residents, 18 years or older with valid ID, and living in ZIP Codes 90000–96199. Twelve (12) monthly payments based on remaining balance after one-time down payment on date of Passport purchase. 0% APR. Subject to restrictions, including a retail installment agreement, and change without notice."
The Enchant Key is the next available option. It is the cheapest option for non-residents. It has the benefit of more open days, and the ability to hold 4 park reservations at one time. This means if you plan a 3 day vacation, your entire trip can be booked without worrying about not getting a reservation. It does have several blockout dates that include the Christmas season, and most of the summer. If you have a fairly open travel calendar, this is a great option. If you consider the price of a one day, one park ticket (ranges between $104-$154 )you would need to visit at least 6 days to make this pass worth it. Granted, this does not take into consideration multi day, or multi park passes. If you choose to go at least twice in the year and spend 3 days(with the park hopper option) each time, you are already saving money. Again, your days are limited, but if your schedule is open....it's a great option.
The next available key is the Believe Key. This option gives you a little more flexibility than the Enchanted Key. You can have up to 6 reservations on hold at one time. This is great for planning purposes because a 6 day visit at one time gives you a lot of flexibility. You also receive 50% off parking. It has a lot more available days. You aren't so restricted to traveling mid week. This pass would seem to be for someone who needs to travel on weekends, and needs more availability.
The final, and most exclusive key(currently) is the Dream Key. This key allows you to hold 6 reservations at one time, just like the Believe key. The benefit to this key is that there are NO BLACKOUT days. You can visit the parks anytime, as long as reservations are available. It also includes theme park parking. Another perk to the Dream is 20% and 15% off merchandise and food, while the other passes are only 10%.
That's it! These are the new passes. More may become available as Disney World releases their new AP program, and East and West coast keys become available. As for me, and our family...we're in between choosing the Believe Key, and the Enchant Key. I like the availability of the Believe key as our son's school schedule and our current travel schedule make possible visits more weekend"ish". I do however think that we can get away with a year of the Enchant schedule since our schedule still allows for more midweek visits. So, I may not have the answer YET, but you can bet by Aug. 25 I'll know what pass we will get.
