My Bucket List
If I could hop on a plane now...where would I go?
We are almost 6 months into the year, and it has me reflecting…. already! My husband and I have been talking about our travel plans and what we’d like to do with the rest of the year. I LOVE this kind of stuff! I’m a planner by nature, and being able to plan TRAVEL…well, it speaks to my heart! The only tricky part, is that I’m ready to get out of town. And, when I say “get out of town” I mean leave the country. Yes, I know it’s a bit extreme, but I am a girl who loves to travel a LOT. There are several destinations that are just calling to me. We have completed our “schedule” for the 2019 year, and have started on 2020. Luckily my husband is a good sport, and is supportive of MOST of my list.
Now, you may wonder…where does a girl like me want to go? Well, let me share my Lucky 7 List (This list doesn't change too often, but the order changes pretty regularly):#1: London, England
Now, you may think to yourself…haven’t you been there before? Yup, a few times actually. I’ve written about it here. BUT…I’ve never been with my husband or my son. It is my favorite place in the world, and I want nothing more than to share it with them.
#2: Disneyland Paris
From the heading here, I hope you can see that I don’t want to visit Paris proper. I’m not a huge fan…however, I want to visit Disneyland Paris so bad that I’m willing to spend some time in Paris. I will also happily take a visit to Versailles just to appease the masses (if there are masses that may need appeasement).
#3: India
I have a dream to ride an elephant in Jaipur (the pink city). I do NOT want a Slumdog Millionaire experience though, so I’ve got to do lots of research.
#4: China
My parents did a tour of China a few years ago, and it looked like fun. I’d technically like to hold a panda, but if it can’t happen that is fine. The 3 non-negotiables are Shanghai Disney, Hong Kong Disney, and the Terracotta Warriors (this is assuming the Great Wall will be visible at some point).
#5: Iguazu Falls
These amazing waterfalls border Argentina and Brazil. I’m not too picky about how this one comes about. I’ve looked into South American tours, and cruises around Cape of Good Hope.
#6: Antarctica
Antarctica was on my list to complete before I was 30, but when it didn’t happen, I decided it could actually go on the back burner for a bit. Yes, I still want to go but I also don’t NEED to go soon. If the right opportunity presented itself…. HECK YES! I’d be onboard.
#7: African Safari
I want to see the Big 5(elephant, buffalo, rhino, lion, & cheetah). I also want to “Glamp”.I probably need a little more time before I can convince my husband this is something he “wants” to do too.
So, for right now these are my “tops”. I love this world, and I look forward to learning more about it. I only hope not to learn the same lesson I learned in Egypt. I’m also open to fun and new places as well. Where have you been, or where would you like to travel?
