Disney's Grand Californian Club Level
An Ultimately POSH 1st Visit to Disneyland
A friend of mine recently took her FIRST trip to Disneyland! First time! And…she did it the totally RIGHT way. She stayed at the GRAND CALIFORNIAN CLUB LEVEL! Now, let me explain something…The Grand Californian is THE deluxe Disneyland hotel. The fancy of fanciest places to stay. THEN to stay CLUB LEVEL is to take it to the next level! Club level gives you extra amenities including nightly turn down service, in room dvd players, and access to complimentary refreshments ALL DAY LONG. And, these aren’t just peanuts! I’m talking MEALS, and adult beverages. Her and her family did Disneyland right. I was happy to give her some pointers before she headed there, and upon her return she gave me a report of her experience. I asked her if I could share, and she graciously accepted. So, without further delay here is her report on her 1st Disneyland experience….
Okay so our first trip to Disneyland was amazing. My two cents: stay at the Grand Californian Hotel and get the extra less crowded park hours(MAGIC HOURS). Pay the extra $10 a day for the max pass, we used it for almost every ride. If you can put in the extra moola for the club level at the Grand Californian, DO IT as they have free food/drink and alcohol 23hrs a day. With this we only bought a few fun snacks within the park and went out to eat only once for fun.
I also bought each kid a Disney gift card they could use as they wanted within the parks. When it was gone, it was gone. With the club free food all day 3 of the 5 kids barely used any of the gift card. Each guest had their own key to the club room to come and go as they pleased. We also loved that this hotel opened right up to California Adventure with Grizzly River Rapids and Soarin just a step from the door. If your kids are older than I would say 7, head out from 10pm-midnight and get in tons of rides they may have missed, or just when it’s less crowded.
For a first timer she she really did it up right and has
some AMAZING tips. I hope you find them
as helpful as I did. Thanks
Bridget.
